No i wouldn't give them my pasword. If they want me to work for them then they should pick me for the job based on my interveiw and resume, not my facebook account. Its almost like their hiring you because of whats on your account, not how you wrote your resume or did your interveiw. They can look at my account from their account, not by logging into mine.

I would not give the job my password for facebook or any other website. I think its okay if they want to creep you on facebook from their own account but I don't it is okay for them to ask you for your password. They do not need to be able to read through your messages and look through personal stuff it is not relevant to your job. I dont think that it should be legal for them to even ask you for your password, I think it is an invasion of privacy. I would rather walk out of a job then give them my password.

I agree on the invasion of privacy point, what you talk to your friends about through messages has nothing to do with if your qualified for the job or not.

If a company asked me to give them my facebook password i would definatly say no. I have multiple reasons to why i would say no the biggest being its a HUGE invasion of privacy. What a person does in their own time in their own buisnnes not the companys. I understand that the companys are trying to see what the employee is like but i mean come on if the persons a cocain addict you dont need facebook to tell you that. And i dont care what kind of job it is wether its a janitor or a CIA agent a person should enjoy their time away from work and feel free to do what ever they want without having their boss stalking them every minute their away.

The only reason I would give my password to an employer is if I was really desperate for money and needed the job. Other than that I think it's an invasion of privacy and I don't think they should be aloud to ask you for it. I also think they shouldn't be aloud to look at your facebook/Twitter etc, because what you do on your time shouldn't matter to them as long as you show up for work everday and are a good employee.

nno i wouldnt give an interviewer or job my facebook account because i believe that peerson info when comparing in a job has no relation to the carreer, many ppl have a difficult life and stilll continue to do great at jobs... a characters person account is for thewir acceesss and no one otherwise

No I would not. I would like a employer who can trust me. I don't really want them to look at my facebook stuff. It is your privite life! It would be okay for my employer to be my facebook friend. But even then I want them to trust that what I am saying is the truth. My dad said they can't really ask for your age eather. My birthday is on facebook so they could find things like my age. I would not feel comfortable.

That is true, the employer should trust you, instead of looking at your accounts to see what your doing and saying.

Government agencies are going up and beyond by asking applicants for their username and passwords for their online accounts. Most people that try to get a job wouldn't give their personal information that easily, instead they don't take the job. But for people that need a job have to give their passwords because they don't have money, or family. If I were to decide, I wouldn't mind giving them my password because I have nothing to hide, but it is still your own personal account to do whatever, so I agree and disagree.

I do not see the reason to give someone access to your Facebook/Twitter account for a job. It's a huge invasion of privacy and there is no point to doing it in the first place. When you go on someones Facebook profile you can see everything they have posted as far as pictures, what they've liked, what their favourite hobby is, and if they want to share it, where they were born, their age, what school they went to, their previous jobs, where they have been recently, if they're in a relationship, and basically everything else you want to know. The only thing you cant see is the conversations they've had with people and if the employer wants to see that it's goig to far.

No, I would not give my facebook password because, I don't trust those kind of people with my password. It is really ignorant of them to ask for my password and their is no reason why they need it.
