In this story you meet Jamie Sommers. Throughout the story you keep going back into the past where you learn something more about Jamie. But each time you come back to the present something unfortunate happens to Jamie.
In this book its hard to describe the details of the storyline because like I said you keep going back into the past which just adds even more confusion to the reader until the very end when everything comes together. But the basics of the story are easy to tell. The story is about Jamie Sommers where he has trouble coping with his past which is why he is in a mental institution. He was put there by his mysterious boss Grenville Hawke to try to find a way to live with his past. While there he tells his doctor, Dr McDevit, about his past where he along with his friend Kell Quinn try to get rich illegally. He told him about his dealing with modern pirates, about smuggling and other illegal jobs. But eventually Grenville comes and gets him out of the hospital. After this it looks like everything is looking up for Jamie until something bad happens.
This story was pretty good but there were some boring parts which kind of stretched on kind of long. But other than that there were a lot of parts that were exciting like when Jamie almost got eaten by a shark.
