Culminating activity
The culminating activity for this course is divided into two parts. In Part 1, you are to complete a Photo Story. In Part 2, you contribute to a final class discussion.
***Please note that completion of this culminating activity is mandatory for you to complete the course.***
PART 1
Photo Story (My World)
The photo story option consists of a series of original photographs (ones that you take for this assignment) related to the theme My World. In this, you are to look deeper than only yourself. Show how you relate to the world surrounding you.
Show the relationship between what you see in your daily life - and how you see it - through your newfound experiences with mass media. So, for example, do you Tweet your way through your day? Is Facebook your tool for expression? Do you use a combination of tools, from email to telephone to get through the world? Maybe you keep diaries the old fashioned way - using pen and paper. Try to capture these experiences using photographs (and screen-captures where applicable).

Discussion In this final discussion, I would like you to post an entry in which you explain:

PART 1
Photo Story (My World)

Criteria:
- All photos must be taken by you specifically for this assignment
- At least two of your photos should have an effect applied to them (such as cropping or clipping)
- Each image should convey a message related to the theme My World
- There must be no less than twelve photographs, each including a brief description and an explanation of how it fits into the theme
- You should appear in at least six photos
- At the end, include a slide summarizing your photo theme and how you related to the course (for example, did you like/dislike it, did it suit you, etc.).
Part 2:
Discussion In this final discussion, I would like you to post an entry in which you explain:
- the challenges you faced in taking this online course
- the advantages of taking an online course
- the disadvantages of taking an online course
- one useful thing you will take away from this course
