Number of Pages: 196
Genre: Children’s Fiction
Book review by: Patricia B.

I am in a grade ten applied English and have begun reading “The School Story” children’s fiction. When I had begun reading, I had thought this book would be like many, hard to understand the true reality of the meaning. After a quick jump through the beginning chapters the inspiration blew me away. This young girl Natalie Nelson loses her father. At this point Natalie reaches to her mother who is an editor for a company called Shipley junior books. Natalie is an amazing writer and begins to write a book. Not far through the beginning chapters, Natalie’s best friend manages to convince her on her skill writing this book. Natalie continues writing the book and with her mother not having a single clue. Natalie and her best friend Zoe open a fake agency and send Natalie’s book to be published at Shipley Junior books. With much effort of keeping her identity secret Natalie is revealed to be the author. This book is a great inspiration for children to teach them that not everything in life comes easy, and to never give up no matter how ridiculous it may sound.
Rating: 5 paws out of 5.
